We had a wonderful afternoon of presentations from the year 11 - 13 project X students to showcase the mahi in a range of topics which have been studied throughout this year.

This course is now available for students studying at Level 1 - 3. The topics are either extensions of work from other courses or areas of passion by specific individuals.

For example, Caitlin’s reversible clothing was a key element from the textiles course, and running activities for junior school students was part of the event management course that Holly studied.

Lucy’s make-up project has been the springboard for her choice of tertiary study next year as she pursues her passion in this industry.

Project X differs from many subjects in that it offers a truly cross-curricular experience to our senior students. Assessment for this course remains a by-product of the project that the students develop. They are guided to develop skills and use tools that are commonly sought after in a wide range of workplaces. Project X encourages interdependence and empowers students to take responsibility for their learning. As with most experiences, the more you put in the more you get back in return.

Learning to be vulnerable is courageous.

Allowing others to challenge your personal thinking enables you to reach greater heights

beyond what you can do alone.
