ROBOTICS
Robotics at St Margaret's College begins in the Preschool. Through the Junior School students are exposed to Beebot robots at years one and two. As students progress through the Junior School they will experience various coding programmes that prepare them for robotics. Scratch Junior and Scratch programming is used in the curriculum often starting at year 3. By the end of year 6, students will have worked with Sphero and Thymio robots using block coding and Scratch.

Co-curricular robotics is available for students to opt for during lunch and after school. The lunchtime group is student facilitated.
Girls can choose to attend both lunch and after-school groups.
The after school club is facilitated by a paid tutor and costs are passed on to attendees

Tuesdays 3:40 - 5pm
External Tutor: Anna runs a club for students of all levels of experience.
Term 2 - 2022: This club is currently on hold as we have not been able to attract
enough students who are available to attend on Tuesday after school

In this club we use Lego Mindstorms EV3 robots. For students who enjoy competition, they will have an opportunity to enter the Regional Robocup Competition late in Term Three. This is a chance for students to put their coding expertise to the test in various challenges.
2022
We are fortunate to have Anna from the Imagination Station to support us in our robotics club after school. Unfortunately we have not been able to run a lunch time group this year.
